The Perfect Crown has once again left fans in awe. The latest episode of the MBC drama marks a new turn in the royal love story. While Seong Ju becomes caught up in a game of status, she forgets that Prince Yi An, whose charms work like magic, leaves her heart struck with love. Love still needs a clear view. The royal fame is now bringing misfortune to Ju’s newfound happiness. The crown, and a slow, lingering threat, have taken a deep grip. Clues now hint at a potential love spat and a royal dismissal. Without further ado, let’s dive into the details of the episodes.
The Perfect Crown: Episode 7 & 8 Explained
The previous episode opened a love chapter between Yi An and Seong Hui. A calculated step turned into a romantic venture between the Crown Prince and Castle Beauty Queen Seong Hui Ju. The fierceness Ju showed for her future husband left the Crown Prince falling for her. A moment at the cruise opened Yi An’s eyes to the possibility of pursuing her as his real wife. He also considers dissolving the contractual marriage. Episode 7 had a little awkwardness between the two. While Yi An seems excited, Seong Ju is unable to hold herself together.

A moment later, Seong questioned whether she loved him or was just in the moment. Avoiding the gaze of Yi An, she leaves for work and later sees Jeong Ju at the church. Jeong U accompanies her to her office; Yi An is preparing for the wedding and invites Ju to accompany her after her work. The queen still can’t come to terms with the wedding; she tries to make some amends and tries to break the bond, but hasn’t found a loophole that she can use against Ju. The romance between Yi An and Seong Ju is getting closer, but what comes next isn’t something they are ready for.
The wedding preparations are done. As per the royal tradition, Ju’s family hosts a dinner, but Ju isn’t happy. At the table, the air becomes tense, and Seong isn’t ready to take the manner; his father treats the prince. Later, the prince consoles her, trying to make the scenario similar to normal wedding preparations, and Ju cheers up.

On the other hand, Jeong U tries to warn Yi An to be careful with Jeong and not play any tricks on her. Though Yi An seems a bit taken aback, he warns Jeong that he is more careful than before, and he must leave them as they are approaching common ground. At the wedding, both seem to be happy, and everything goes as planned, but misfortune strikes them once again.
As the married couple takes the young king’s blessing, Seong Ju faints, and the entire royal family, including Jeong, is in shock. Seong blacks out in Yi An’s arms. In episode 8, Yi An is furious that someone might have tried to poison Seong. Her father, too, seems upset with this and slaps the crown prince.

What Happens Next? Episode 7 & 8 Explained
Fortunately, nothing happens, and before things could go worse, Seong is out of danger. Jeong, too, is furious at Yi An and lashes out at him, for he knows things will have taken this turn. Yi An, who is also furious with this, immediately asks for an investigation, and every person, including royals, will be questioned.
Seong Ju wakes up and seems a bit unwell, but later is escorted to the palace. Queen I Rang too is worried as to who tried to poison Seong. The entire staff and palace members are investigated when Seong notes that someone wanted Yi An to drink the poison, but instead she drank it. So the Crown Prince was the target. Something seems not to be connecting the dots: a royal wedding that turned into a royal disaster. As the days pass, the new royal princess seems to enjoy the new status, and a love story seems to blossom, but a royal blunder gets Seong into a drastic situation.
What More Can You Expect?
The upcoming episodes bring a new twist to this story. A contractual agreement between Seong Ju and Crown Prince Yi An has now become public, and this brings their bond to a dead end. Stay tuned to know more.
