Now that Siren’s Kiss concluded with the highest viewership recently, it’s not over yet. There are some popular Korean series that are both addictive and have women turning themselves into the saviours for others. Filled with drama, comedy, intensity and some action, these series will definitely blow your mind.
Marry My Husband
2024’s highest viewership record, Marry My Husband, brought an interesting angle to Korean series. Starring Park Min Young, this series marked a turning point in her life. Based on a popular webtoon’s namesake, the series has everything you can ask for. Filled with the emotion of revenge, a young professional who was treated like a third wheel, betrayed by her husband and friend, and has no one to call her own, is reborn on the day when her life turned to hell. She undoes all those mistakes and treats her friend as she deserves.
The series is an absolute banger, and with its notorious title, it faced controversy over the screenplay. A woman with revenge gets all the eyeballs and brownie points to get the fans’ frenzy.
Attorney Woo Young Woo
It’s a light-hearted but powerful series for beginners to watch. Honing to the modern scenarios of the current century, where people with mental or physical disability are given equal opportunities, an autistic attorney joins a leading firm. At first, she is not thought of as a worthy lawyer, since her condition can sometimes cause an embarrassing moment, yet she displays immense professionalism and is gifted with a mighty brain. She solves tough cases with ease and brings new sunshine to her colleagues and staff. An absolutely delightful series to watch.
The Judge From Hell
Another 2024 Disney+ cosmic-courtroom drama series where a hell keeper is punished by Lucifer for her mistake. She mistakenly puts an innocent judge into hell, and now, to repay her deeds, she has to live in the woman’s body to do her justice. As the hell keeper finds the woman past being just and sincere, she herself sends the criminals to hell for their filthy deeds. Adding more layers to the series, there is love and romance and choices that seem hard for a human but easy for a hell keeper. The series was quite loved by fans and is available.

Salon De Homes
Four housewives, having a boring life, start to investigate small and petty crimes in their locality. A former police officer, a housewife, a shop owner and a delivery woman start their own Sherlock Holmes investigation around their neighbours and creeps trying to advance women at night. As the story progresses, the dark past of the housewife seems to knock at her door again, but this time her three musketeers are there to help her. The series became so popular that it was renewed for a second season. Filled with drama, action and fun, the series is another women-centred banger.
Parasyte-The Grey
Based on the anime, The Parasyte, the Korean drama opens a devastating time when life turns unfair for some. Unlike the anime, a woman named Jung Su In, who is attacked by a goon and tries to help a girl being raped, is infested by an alien parasite that enters her body and becomes her host. One event leads to another, and an apocalyptic situation enters the city. As people start to act irrationally, killing others, she tries to break the mastermind who tries to experiment on people. The series has left clues for a potential second season, yet it should be a must-watch on your list.
Dear Hyeri
This psychological drama, where a potential news anchor faces her past trauma and doesn’t have a clue, is quite a deep story to watch. The announcer, who had a broken relationship, a burden of her sister disappearing, and now her career at stake, has left her with a void she can’t fill. Despite her efforts not to be affected, she develops a personality disorder where she transforms into a 20-something girl who works as a parking lot worker. Things go on smoothly, but she fails to recognize herself.
As the story moves ahead, her trauma brings her to acknowledge the past and move ahead, accepting what she denied. The series holds a strong message about mental health and voicing what is wrong. It’s a beautiful series that has a deep layer of connection towards putting oneself first over others.
