
New Delhi, February 20, 2025 – The Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi, organised the 6th Namaste Thailand Festival 2025 EP.1 at the Royal Thai Embassy during 8-9 February 2025. It aims to showcase Thailand to Indians and foreigners residing in India through Thailand’s various elements of Thainess such as food, culture, tourism and products. The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Thirapath Mongkolnavin, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i, Royal Thai Embassy, along with Team Thailand, diplomatic communities, Friends of Thailand, and Thai and Indian private sectors.

The event featured a mix of interactive activities, performances, and culinary delights. The festival began with the Namaste Thailand Flash Quiz, where participants won exclusive prizes by answering questions about Thai culture. A live cooking demonstration by the famous chef Jaeruk gave attendees a chance to witness Thai chefs prepare traditional delicacies, drawing food enthusiasts eager to sample iconic dishes like Pad Thai, Som Tam, and Mango Sticky Rice.

Cultural performances engaged the audience with elegant Thai dance forms, blending traditional and contemporary elements. One of the key attractions was the Muay Thai Wai Kru Performance, which showcased the ritualistic and technical aspects of Thailand’s renowned martial arts. The powerful demonstration left spectators in awe of the discipline and strength behind the sport.

Adding to the excitement, a Lucky Draw gave visitors the chance to win exciting prizes, including a grand prize of a free air ticket to Bangkok.
The festival concluded with a high-energy performance by Thai band SUN DER, whose live music created an electrifying atmosphere, leaving the audience mesmerized. In a word with The World Times, the band leader, Sun, said, ” I’m very happy to be back at Namaste Thailand Festival 2025. We had an amazing time last year and hoping to be back next year as well!”

The Namaste Thailand Festival has consistently strengthened cultural ties between India and Thailand, offering a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation. This year’s edition once again proved to be a grand success, with visitors taking home not just souvenirs but also a deeper connection to Thai heritage.

During the two-day festival, the event was attended by over 3,000 visitors. Apart from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy also received kind support from various companies who were part of the success in presenting Thailand in all potential areas to the Indian public, i.e. SCG International India, Thai Airways International, and Thai Air Asia, as well as Thai restaurants in Delhi-NCR.
