The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) has brought Korean and Indian content companies together in New Delhi for the 2026 Korea–India K-Content BizWeek, held from August 31 to September 2 at Hyatt Regency Delhi.
Organised by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOCCA, the three-day programme brought together 20 Korean and 73 Indian content companies, creating opportunities for partnerships across areas including broadcasting, OTT, animation, character IP, gaming and content distribution.
The event was part of KOCCA’s efforts to expand Korean content in India, which was identified as a key target market for 2026. It followed the Korea–India K-Content BizCon held in Mumbai in May, where Korean companies had their first round of business discussions with Indian buyers and partners. The BizWeek programme included an India Market Entry Strategy Forum, an IP pitching session and one-on-one business consultations. Korean companies were able to present their content and intellectual property to Indian industry representatives while discussing potential collaborations, licensing, distribution and co-production opportunities.

The strategy forum also focused on practical aspects of entering the Indian market, including localisation, taxation, business conditions and market-entry strategies. Participating companies additionally received expert advice on areas such as intellectual property, legal matters, taxation, trade, publishing, distribution and gaming. One of the central components of the programme was the one-on-one export consultation programme, which connected Korean content companies with potential Indian business partners. The discussions covered content acquisition, IP licensing, co-production and local market partnerships.
The event also brought together around 150 representatives from government bodies, cultural institutions and the content industries of both countries for a welcome reception. The evening included performances by Korean singer LYN, known for her K-drama OSTs, and Indian singer Sejal Morris.
Speaking about the initiative, KOCCA President Kim Yoon-Ji said the BizWeek was intended to move potential partnerships identified through KOCCA’s earlier programmes towards concrete business discussions and commercial agreements.
In an interview with The World Times, KOCCA said its India Business Centre will continue supporting Korean companies through the market-entry process, from identifying local partners and facilitating business meetings to contract negotiations and follow-up cooperation.
With India’s rapidly expanding digital and entertainment market, the latest initiative marks another step in Korea’s efforts to deepen commercial ties with India’s content industry while creating new opportunities for Korean IP and creative companies.
