Netra Mantena, heiress to Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, recently married tech entrepreneur Vamsi Gadiraju in a lavish ceremony in Udaipur. The celebrations lasted three days, beginning on November 21, with the main wedding held on November 23.
The couple met in New York during the US Open; soon, their shy introduction blossomed into an instant, undeniable spark together. Their first date flowed into plans for the next day, which became eight effortless hours together. He proposed at sunset in Cabo, with Baccarat candles and her favorite dishes, making the moment deeply personal and memorable.
Welcome Dinner and After Party
For the welcome dinner, Mantena chose a custom Tarun Tahiliani lehenga that matched the “Welcome to Rajasthan” theme. Its embroidery blended jaalis and jharokas with New York elements like the Empire State Building and yellow taxis, reflecting the couple’s journey. Jadao jewellery completed the look. Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania shared that the bride’s father simply wanted his daughter to look unforgettable.
The Tiësto-led after-party felt like a new chapter. Inspired by a metal plate seen at a Falguni Shane Peacock show—depicting the Taj Mahal and a peacock—thus, a structured, corseted silk dress was created, holding its shape while allowing Netra complete ease of movement.
Haldi and Sangeet
For the haldi, the mood grew poetic as Rahul Mishra created a world of 3D flowers, sacred lotuses and Radha-Krishna motifs inspired by Vamsi’s name, forming a dreamy, romantic attire.
At the sangeet, Mantena dazzled in a champagne-toned, crystal-studded look with feather details.After a swift outfit change, Mantena stepped out in bubblegum pink and blue, before shifting once more into a chic micro-mini dress.
Mehendi and Wedding
The Cirque de Mehndi delivered a dazzling show. Anamika Khanna crafted a unique take on her tribal embroidery, featuring a handmade emerald-green back adornment. Shroff Adajania styled it creatively, even converting an emerald-and-diamond necklace into a striking baju band for her arm.
The wedding embraced tradition. Her dream of being a red bride came alive through a meticulously crafted Sabyasachi look, featuring a personal blouse design and circular hair adornments inspired by her South Indian heritage and traditional celestial symbols.
Reception and After Party
For the reception, Mantena wore a custom Elie Saab gown chosen by her father. The after-party featured her in a nude crystal-ghungroo Gaurav Gupta look, followed by a sculpted white dress.
