You Maniac is a romance drama with a fake relationship trope starring William Est alongside Barcode and Kin. Let’s take a look at its plot and a few details!
Expectations from the Plot of You Maniac

Dean likes to party and seduce people but does not want to settle down. However, he finds himself doing whatever it takes to win over Moth, an unconventional artist, at his friend Ten’s request. Ten wants to pursue Pun, but Pun has feelings for Moth. At first, Dean doesn’t give much thought to flirting, but Moth’s indifference to him triggers his competitive instinct to win him over.
In one of the teasers, Ten and Pun eventually appear to date each other. So, we can expect to see Pun actually noticing Ten’s love for him. Aside from Moth’s jealousy, we may also expect Pun to become jealous of Dean and Moth’s relationship.
The story involves a fake relationship. Naturally, we can imagine that there would be one point in the story where Dean’s original motive for pursuing Moth is revealed. In addition to that, we may also expect a fight between the main characters because of the same.
A Few Details from the Official Trailer

In the first few minutes, we see Dean, Ten, Pun and Moth all seated together having a conversation. In that scene, notice that Ten’s whole attention is towards Pun, and Pun mostly looks at Moth. This is an accurate representation of the whole plot. Moreover, Dean just looks happy to be there and seems to be enjoying the conversation.
In the next scene, it seems like Dean is introducing Ten to Pun. This can either mean Pun and Dean are already acquainted before the meet at the bar, or it could mean that Dean just met Pun and is being a wingman for Ten. Either way, Pun does not look interested in Ten at all.
There is a scene in the trailer where Dean gets in trouble for his flirty personality. He gets beaten up by one of the people in the bar and has a talk with Moth afterwards. This is probably the scene where Moth gets to see his real personality and why Dean does what he does.
Overall, audiences are really excited for the series. It premieres on August 29 and airs every Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on GMM25.
