According to multiple fan reports circulating online, a Mexican TikTok streamer is openly threatening BTS member Kim Taehyung, claiming she will throw acid on his face during the upcoming “Arirang” world tour concert in May 2026 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
The alleged threats appeared openly on social media multiple times before the issue gained widespread attention. Keep streaming on TikTok only to give threats to throw acid.
Fans claim that she is an individual supporter of BTS members. Looking at her account page, she is Jimin and Jungkook, though no official verification has been made regarding her identity or intentions.
Fans react and demand action from HYBE
The situation became critical and quickly alarmed fans worldwide, pushing the news to trend across social media. A group of BTS fans (ARMY) global fanbase, began sharing screenshots and screen recordings of the alleged threats across platforms, such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram Stories, and Reels, making it a trend for support, urging others to report the account and raise awareness.
Several hashtags like #Hybeprotecttaehyung, calling for HYBE, BTS management agency, to take immediate legal and security action, began trending, with fans emphasizing the importance of protecting all members during the world tour.
Many fans wrote letters to HYBE to take action against the threats, and the campaign serves as a public petition to force the agency to take accountability for the physical safety of the artist amid in-person tour threats.
TikTok Account Allegedly Deactivated
Fans noticed that the TikTok account of the person who made the threats is no longer active, likely removed or deactivated. Even so, fans remain concerned, emphasizing that online threats, whether deleted or not, must be treated seriously.
As anticipation builds for the album Arirang and the upcoming world tour, fans hope that swift action will be taken so the focus can return to music, performances, and celebrating of BTS’s one more successful album with global impact safely without any fear.
BTS Fans React on Social Media
Following the global circulation of the alleged threats, fans took to social media to express anger, concern, and frustration. Many believe the individual acted to gain attention rather than pose a real threat, while still stressing that such behavior should never be taken lightly.
Several fans commented that the streamer appeared to be seeking online fame and engagement, with one user writing, “She just wants attention to get famous. HYBE should take strict action so no one dares to do this again.”
Others accused the individual of using TikTok live streams to attract views and earn money, calling the behavior irresponsible and dangerous. A fan commented, “She was clearly doing it for attention and money. Threatening an artist like this is not a joke.”
Despite differing opinions about the intent behind the statements, fans largely united in demanding that HYBE take legal action and strengthen security for BTS. Many stressed that even so-called “attention-seeking” threats deserve serious treatment to protect both the artists and the fans attending the concert.
