New Delhi: Art, architecture and nature converge in Terraform, the new solo show by M. Pravat at STIR Gallery, Chattarpur Farms. Organized by Vida Heydari Contemporary, the exhibition will be its first in the capital and will open on January 18, 2025.
In Terraform, Pravat skillfully uses materials including bricks, pigment, LED lights, and found objects to design successful sculptures and installations. They are dynamic and reflect the disintegration of life, which is inherent in the urban environment. This is a thoughtful comment on the existing interaction between man and nature. Each artwork seems to point to a map showing humanity’s impact on the environment and the effects of this non-stop development and the climate emergency.
In an interview with The World Times, “Terraform is not just an exhibition but a conversation,” Pravat adds. “It is a call to reflect on how the world around us comes into existence and how in return it comes into existence for us.”
The exhibition will be open from 11 am to 7 pm and will feature the artist himself, giving visitors an opportunity to engage directly with his vision. The exhibition will remain open from 19 until January 25, 2025, for the public. It is quite a short but profound opportunity to see art that is most relevant to the current world.
But for those who want more and are ready to get emotionally and intellectually engaged, Terraform is here to offer.
