On July 24, 2025, Netflix revealed the poster of Pratik Gandhi’s upcoming spy saga, Saare Jahan Se Accha: The Silent Guardians, captioning it:
“Har muqabla maidan mein nahi hota. Kuch jung saayon mein bhi ladi jaati hai” (Not every competition happens in the field. Some wars can be fought even in the shadows).

Release Date
As seen in the poster, the OTT series is set to stream from August 13, 2025 only on Netflix.
What is the Story?
Announcing the official teaser, Netflix captioned: “Kuch jung itihaas ke panno mein nahi milengi. Azaadi ke mahine mein, saare files unclassifed ho jayengi” (Some war will not be found in the pages of history. In the month of independence, all the files will be unclassified).
It takes a lot to protect a nation. A major role is played by the undercover agents, and spies, who risk their lives for information.
In the announcement video, Pratik Gandhi, who plays an intelligence officer, is seen listening carefully to intercepted information. As he decodes the message, he remarks, “For a spy, every small detail is important.” He explains what a spy needs to succeed, and just how far they’re willing to go for a sliver of information that could save the nation.
Created by Gaurav Shukla, and produced by Bombay Fables, the series is set in the tense political landscape of the 1970s. Its core mission: prevent a looming nuclear attack.
Gandhi takes on the role of Vishnu Shankar, a sharp, and committed officer who must unravel the nuclear plot before it’s too late. While the story is fictional, it highlights the silent warriors who operate in the shadows, heroes the public rarely sees, or celebrates.
These agents work behind closed doors, often in isolation, but never waver in their loyalty to the nation, and its people.
Speaking about the series, and his role, Pratik Gandhi shared: “With Saare Jahan Se Accha we’ve built a world that’s urgent, intense, intimidating, and full of quiet tension. Playing Vishnu Shankar, a man who walks the tightrope between duty, and morality, was one of the most challenging roles I’ve taken on.”
