“Opalite” has officially become the next single from Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Show Girl. This was announced two days ago through her official fan page, Taylor Nation. The new single was released along with a music video, which premiered on February 6th at 6:30 PM IST.
How to Watch the Opalite Music Video
To view the music video for “Opalite,” the fans can click the link shared by Swift on her Instagram story. This link opens a page and gives viewers the option to watch the video on Apple Music or Spotify.
The music video will also be released on YouTube on February 8th, 2026, for viewers who do not have a subscription to Apple Music or Spotify.
The “Opalite” visual was first released on Apple Music and Spotify. This was done because of YouTube’s withdrawal of its data from Billboard’s charts, meaning that views from YouTube would not have been counted if the video had been released there. This would have affected Swift’s position at the top of the Billboard charts. This smart and strategic move is expected to help “Opalite” reach Billboard No. 1, especially since it earlier peaked at No. 2.
The Star-Studded Music Video

Earlier, during the promotion of The Life of a Show Girl, Taylor Swift appeared on The Graham Norton Show. During the episode, Domhnall Gleeson made a joke about “hoping to be in a Taylor Swift music video.”
This led Swift to cast all the guests present on the show. The cast included Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Cillian Murphy, along with Graham Norton himself and Lewis Capaldi, who performed on the episode.
In her Instagram post, Swift mentioned that she thought of the concept shortly after the show. She wrote:
“For those of you who aren’t familiar, it’s a UK late-night show where Graham Norton (the insanely charismatic and lovable host) invites a random group of actors, entertainers, musicians, etc., to be on his show and we all sit there and chat like it’s a dinner party. They even serve wine. Anyway, I remember thinking I got ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with: Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, @JodieSmith, and @LewisCapaldi — all people whose work I’ve admired from afar. When we were all talking during the broadcast, Domhnall made a light-hearted joke about wanting to be in one of my music videos. He’s Irish! He was joking! Except that in that moment during the interview, I was instantly struck with an idea. And so a week later, he received an email with a script I’d written for the ‘Opalite’ video, where he was playing the starring role. I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on The Graham Norton Show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too — like a school group project but for adults, and it isn’t mandatory. To my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time-travel back to the ’90s with us and help with this video.”
More Than Just a Singer

The cast also included some fan-favorite performers from the Eras Tour, making the video even more special for longtime fans. This star-studded music video turned out to be one of the best surprises her fans could have anticipated.
Taylor Swift has once again proved that she is more than just a singer. She is a director, a businesswoman, and, above all, a great visionary. She continues to set new standards in the music industry and inspire millions around the world.
