DG NSG, Shri Brighu Srinivasan, IPS unveiled the 9th edition of the Epic NSG Calendar 2025 during a recent ceremony that honoured the brave actions of National Security Guard (NSG) personnel. Since its creation in 2017 by Pravin Talan and Rupali Talan who are renowned action photographers the calendar has kept inspiring generations of readers.
At the launch event, DG Srinivasan highlighted how the NSG developed into an advanced technology force while building exceptional operational competence. As a symbol of adaptability and resilience, the NSG maintains superior night combat expertise along with leading-edge anti-drone systems alongside its proficiency in CBRNe (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive) environments. The force expanded its counter-hijack abilities because it must address new threats that exist in shipping operations on river cruises.
The Epic NSG Calendar 2025 offers a visual narrative of this excellence. This 16-page publication showcases the National Security Guard commandos’ intense energy together with their hard-willed determination and phenomenal precision.
In an interview with The World Times, sharing their thoughts, Pravin Talan and Rupali Talan said, “It’s never easy to capture the true grit and glory of the National Security Guard in pictures, nor is it a small task to create new and exciting visuals year after year. But that’s a challenge we love, and as artists, it’s the least we can do for the commandos who are real heroes in every sense. Our annual objective remains to showcase new imagery which honours the genuine bravery of these real-life heroes.”
Since its launch, the calendar has become highly popular among both military personnel and young people who recognize it as a symbol of dedication and heroism.
