The Black Parade returns.
In the year 2008, the American rock band ‘My Chemical Romance’ released a live album titled ‘The Black Parade Is Dead!’. The album featured live recordings of their songs featured in their album ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’, performed in Mexico City.
Fast forward to 2025, My Chemical Romance announces:
“Long Live The Black Parade!”
The band took to Instagram in November 2024 to tease an upcoming project. Soon, the Stadium tour was announced, with its first leg in North America. The tour begins on July 11th, in Seattle, Washington State. Since the initial announcement, dates for concerts in South America and South-East Asia have also been announced.

The New Jersey band featuring Gerard Way (vocalist), Mikey Way (bassist), Frank Iero (rhythm guitarist) and Ray Toro (lead guitarist) has been dominating the Alternative Rock scene for around two decades. Formed post the 9/11 incident in September 2001, My Chemical Romance have become one of the most influential albums of the 2000s. Their music deals with the member’s personal battles with their mental health issues. Despite the horrors, their lyrics never fail to shine a ray of Hope to the ones who need it.
Deluxe Recordings
The tour comes shortly after a surprise release for the fans. Twenty-one years after its release, a deluxe re-recording of the band’s sophomore album–Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge–hit the platforms. The deluxe album features new artwork and high-quality remastered tracks. It re-entered the Billboard 200 at #6 with over 40k units following the deluxe release. It was the album’s first week ever in the top 10, over twenty years after its release. Revenge tastes better served 20 years later!
My Chemical Romance honors the memory of Bob Bryar
It is the band’s first tour since the death of their ex-drummer, Bob Bryar, who contributed heavily to the production of their aforementioned album, ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’. Bryar’s memory lives long along with the souls of the departed; the lyrics to the titular track echoes a hopeful chorus:
Way sings, “Though you’re dead and gone, believe me, your memory will carry on.”
The band gears up to continue the Black Parade, carrying forward the memory of Bryar. The tour features supporting acts from other cult-classic bands such as Evanescence.
