New Delhi, 24 June- Worldmark Aerocity transformed into a lively summer place to be over the weekend when it hosted the second edition of the Mango Festival on June 21 and 22. The two-day event attracted hundreds of food aficionados, families and cultural enthusiasts to come together to celebrate India’s most beloved fruit with a diverse range of showcases, music and engaging activities.
This year’s Mango Gallery was one of the highlights at the Festival, which featured over 50 different types of mangoes from different parts of India on display. People enjoyed discovering unique cultivars, learning where they come from, and sampling some of the rarer types of mangoes, all of which made for an educational and sensory experience. In addition to the Mango Gallery, many vendors and brands participated in the festival, presenting their stalls which sold fresh produce, smoothies and juices, desserts and mango-related merchandise.

The festival’s food segment showcased a wide variety of fusion dishes using mango in creative ways, from savoury offerings of mango tacos and sushi to sweet items of mango cheesecakes, kulfis and bubble teas. The various food counters remained busy for the duration of the event, as everybody was keen to try out elements of the food being creatively presented.
A great part of the event was also the Daawat-e-Hunar Cook-Off Challenge, conducted in two rounds on each day. Registered participants entered by cooking their own original mango-based recipes, judged in real-time before a live audience. The winners were announced each evening, which injected a competitive edge into the festive atmosphere.
Speaking with The World Times, Anisha Dahiya, one of the organisers, said, “We wanted to go beyond just a food festival and create an enriching experience where people could explore the diversity of mangoes, enjoy fusion flavours, and connect through music and art. The response has been overwhelming, and we’re grateful to everyone who made it possible.”

Entertainment was happening all over the venue, with open mic sessions, interactive drum circles with Indishala, and performances and interactive jam sessions featuring a variety of artists. Performers like Yakeen Live, TANISH, Aatir Live, and Prayaag On Stage kept the vibe high with a wide array of music, from indie to fusion, and even acoustic rock.
The dedicated festival team successfully achieved their main goal, which was to celebrate mangoes in all their forms and encourage food/street art and community engagement in one of New Delhi’s most vibrant urban areas. The project foreshadowed potential for future celebrations next year, with the possibility for it to be bigger!
