Family dramas are a part of every household. Sony SAB is gearing up for its next family emotional drama, Itti Si Khushi, starring Sumbul Touqeer in the lead. Produced by Goldie Behl, and Shrishti Arya under Rose Audio Visual Productions, it revolves around the character of Anvita Diwekar (Sumbul Touqeer).
Release Date
It is set to stream on Sony LIV, and on Sony SAB this August.
What is itti si khushi About?
Sony LIV describes the show as follows:
“Mushkilon se har baar ladkar raasta nikala hai, maa jaisi beti ne pure ghar ko sambhala hai.”
Set in Mumbai, 21-year-old Anvita is the eldest of six siblings. With their father struggling with alcoholism, she takes on the unspoken responsibility of caring for the family. In the promo, he sells their only home, and is seen handing out the money he receives. Anvita becomes her siblings’ anchor, a shoulder to lean on, and a support system they can count on.
As per the latest reports, with Sanjay, a police officer’s entry into Anvita’s, and Virat’s life, there is a possibility of a love triangle in formation.

Sumbul Touqeer on Her Return, and The Character
In a chat with IANS, Sumbul expresses her excitement, and reveals that she had “waited so long to come back with something that truly feels right.” Reflecting on her role, she adds, “Playing Anvita has been a beautiful experience. She’s the kind of girl who holds her entire family together, quietly taking on every responsibility with love, and strength. More importantly, she transforms her pain into power, and navigates even her toughest moments with grace.”
In a nutshell, Itti Si Khushi promises to be an emotional ride, with Anvita struggling to balance her responsibilities.
