The expo’s strategic position in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) offers unparalleled access to a high-spending market. In fact, nearly 70% of ITE25’s trade buyers hailed from the GBA, a region with a combined GDP of US$2.077 trillion in 2024. Meanwhile, Hong Kong itself ranked 14th globally for overseas travel expenditure, with residents spending US$28.9 billion abroad.
The B2B segment delivers quality connections, with ITE25 attracting 7,627 trade professionals. Specifically, the cohort was comprised of travel agents (46%), MICE specialists (15%), and buyers from Hong Kong (47%), Guangdong (20%), and other international markets (20%). Furthermore, the B2C segment provides direct access to affluent Free Independent Travellers (FITs). ITE25 drew over 70,000 public visitors, with 91% maintaining or increasing their travel budgets and 87% preferring independent short-haul trips. The spokesperson for TKS Exhibition Services noted that 43% of visitors showed interest in on-site booking, creating immediate opportunities for exhibitors. They added,

The event’s popularity is further evidenced by its 135 seminars, which attracted over 9,200 attendees. Japan has been a standout success story as the official “Partner-land” since 2009. Hong Kong outbound travel to Japan has surged over 400% since the partnership began, reaching 2.68 million visitors in 2024. Looking ahead, the Japan Pavilion will return in 2026 with an enhanced presence to engage the massive FIT demographic.
