The Legacy So Far

The Special Ops universe began in 2020. It introduced to us Himmat Singh, a RAW agent obsessed with tracking down the elusive mastermind behind several terrorist attacks on the nation. Five agents, living in various parts of the world, are allotted in the team, who work together to grab hold of the mastermind. It portrayed a deeply layered narrative, which was intelligently paced.

Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, released in 2021, was a prequel spin-off, which explored Himmat’s early years in RAW. Menon gave a brilliant performance, lending gravitas to a younger self of Himmat and his struggles in navigating the politics of spycraft. It too was loved immensely by the audience.

What to Expect in Season 2?

The upcoming season thrusts Singh into a high-stake cyber war where everybody’s security is at stake. The threat now is not bombs or bullets, but codes, manipulation, and servers. The trailer promises high-intensity scenes, and a faceless enemy taking a toll. Can anyone be trusted? Can Himmat track down this almost unbeatable enemy in this era where the world runs on technology, and social media?

The tone, this time, is darker and more introspective. The trailer leaves the audience with a high expectation of experiencing a gripping ride.
