
17th October, 2025, New Delhi: Ganesh Daimari, General Secretary of the All Bathou Mahasabha, was conferred with the 12th Karmayogi Award 2025 by My Home India for his outstanding contribution towards uniting and empowering the Bodo community across India, Nepal, and Bhutan. The ceremony took place at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on Friday.
The award recognises Daimari’s tireless efforts to promote the Bathou faith through education, cultural revival, and social reform. His work has not only strengthened community identity but also deepened cultural harmony across the region. He received a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a citation.
Shri Ramlal, Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), presented the award. The ceremony also saw the presence of Shri Durgadas Uike, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, and Shri Sunil Deodhar, Founder of My Home India and former National Security of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Baldev Raj Sachdeva, President of My Home India (Delhi-NCR), presided over the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Shri Sunil Deodar lauded Daimari’s work as an embodiment of the “true spirit of a Karma Yogi.”
“His work reflects an unwavering faith in India’s cultural roots, and his efforts have given new strength to the Bodo community,” Deodhar said. “Under PM Modi’s leadership, the nation is witnessing a renewed recognition of tribal heritage and pride. The Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh stands as a testament to this commitment.”
Chief Guest Shri Ramlal commended Daimari’s dedication, noting that “India’s unity is rooted in its diversity and faith.” He emphasised that those who work quietly to preserve India’s spiritual and cultural heritage are the true strength of the nation.
Echoing similar sentiments, Shri Durgadas Uike praised Daimari’s commitment to education and cultural revival as an “inspiration for tribal and rural societies across India.” He added that the Modi government has brought “unprecedented focus, respect, and resources to tribal welfare and empowerment.”
Accepting the award, Daimari expressed gratitude to the Bodo Community and My Home India. He said, “This award belongs to the Bodo community and to every person who continues to keep our traditions alive. My Home India has given me the strength to continue this journey with greater resolve.”
Instituted by the Delhi-based organisation My Home India, the Karmayogi Award recognises individuals for “selfless service” and contributions to national development, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
