October 23, 2025, New Delhi: Celebrating twenty years of shaping India’s contemporary art narrative, Gallery Ragini will inaugurate its new art exhibition, “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps” at CCA, Bikaner House, New Delhi on October 24, 2025. Curated by Meena Vari, the exhibition brings together over fifty artists from across India and will remain on view until October 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 7 PM.

The exhibition reflects Gallery Ragini’s journey as both a custodian of legacy and a platform for new directions. It brings together artists who shaped the Gallery’s evolution and those redefining contemporary Indian art today.
Curator Meena Vari explores the intertwined relationship between memory, material, and meaning through the exhibition. She transforms the space into a living timeline where past, present, and future coexist. By juxtaposing paintings, sculptures, mixed-media, and experimental works, she captures the ever-evolving multiplicity of Indian contemporary art.
“The exhibition is a space of becoming,” says Meena Vari. “It draws from philosopher Gilles Deleuze’s notion that identity is never fixed but constantly in flux. Over the last twenty years, Gallery Ragini has evolved through the diverse voices of its artists. This exhibition reflects that journey.”
Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps highlights the continuity of creative dialogue across generations of Indian artists. It repositions the gallery as more than a venue. It becomes a living ecosystem that nurtures experimentation, encourages conversation, and mirrors India’s evolving culture.

Since its founding, Gallery Ragini has supported critical voices and curated exhibitions that connect art with wider social discourse. It has collaborated with established artists while also supporting new ones. The 20th anniversary exhibition reflects both retrospection and renewal. It offers a moment to look back and move forward simultaneously.
Participating artists include Ameen Khaleel, Bharti Verma, Bose Krishnamachari, Chetnaa, Dhruvi Acharya, Gigi Scaria, Harsha Chennangodu, Jagannath Panda, Mithu Sen, Murali Cheeroth, Pushpamala N, Rajan Krishnan, Rekha Rodwittiya, Sajeev Visweswaran, Valay Gada, Vibha Galhotra, Vishakha Apte, Vivek Vilasini, and many more.
The title itself evokes the fluidity of art. It gestures to the way art stretches across eras, mediums, refusing to remain still. Each strand represents an artist, a story, and together they form a living fabric of time that flows and refolds upon itself.
Through art, past does not vanish but reshapes itself in dialogue with the present.

“Twenty years ago, Ragini began as a small but passionate initiative to create a space for dialogue between artists, audiences, and ideas,” says Nidhi Jain, Founder and Director of Gallery Ragini. “Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we’re not only honouring the artists who have been part of our journey but also embracing a new generation of creators who will define our shared future. Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps is a celebration of continuity, courage, and creativity. It is the thread that binds our story together.”
With this exhibition, Gallery Ragini celebrates two decades of evolution in artistic dialogue, reaffirming its role in shaping India’s contemporary art landscape.
