The kings of K-Pop are back and EXO-L can’t keep calm. EXO’s latest album is finally here. Reverxe is the boy band’s eighth full-length album. It was released on January 19 2026 with the single, ‘Crown’ as the album’s title track.
The music video for the song was also released on the same date and the audience response was phenomenal. The album marks Lay Zhang’s first comeback with EXO.
About the Album and More
In December, 2025, EXO shared concept photos and a video teaser for their eighth album, ‘Reverxe’. The comeback album features six members with Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen not being a part of the production. Reverxe includes 9 tracklists with ‘Crown’, ‘Back It Up’, ‘Crazy’, ‘Suffocate’, ‘Moonlight Shadows’, ‘Back Pocket’, ‘Touch & Go’, ‘Flatline’, and ‘I’m Home’. The tracklists are of multiple genres such as R&B pop, Electropop, Brazilian funk, etc.
The physical edition of the Reverxe will come in 10 versions — Cube Reverse, Six compact versions, Ex-vision (QR), and Big SMini. The album upon its release received a warm response globally. It debuted at number one on the Hanteo Daily Album Chart. Reverxe also reached number one on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 35 regions including the United States, Japan, and Brazil. In China, the album also topped QQ Music digital album sales chart and received a ‘double platinum certification’.
About EXO: Beyond the Boy Band
EXO is a South Korean-Chinese boy band under SM Entertainment — a South Korean multinational entertainment agency. It was formed in 2011, initially consisting of twelve members — Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, Kris, Luhan, and Tao. The band made their debut in April, 2012 with the single, ‘Mama’. This also served as the title track of their debut extended play of the same name.
EXO’s first debut album ‘XOXO’ was released in June, 2013. The album was released in dual language — Korean and Chinese. The album’s two singles, ‘Wolf’ and ‘Growl‘ went on to become hits, charting in the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard K-pop Hot 100. Later the three members, Kris, Luhan, and Tao took their leave from the group. EXO has been ranked as one of the two most successful artists, alongside BTS, who are well-known on social media. Additionally, EXO also ranked second on the Billboard Social 50 Year-End Chart for three consecutive years.
