K-pop Fever Grips Delhi as Rang De Korea Rocks the Capital
12th October 2025, New Delhi: The Korean Cultural Centre India staged the fourth Rang De Korea festival at Nexus Select CITYWALK Plaza on October 11. Thousands of Hallyu fans flooded the venue to celebrate Korean culture.
H.E. Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, inaugurated the event. Following the inauguration, power-packed performances by groups from Korea, such as Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team; S-Flava, a fusion group combining Korean traditional music and b-boying; a Korean traditional dance performance team, enthralled the Indian audiences. However, the showstopper event for the day was the electric performance by the eight-member K-pop boyband ‘Younite’.

The highlight of the evening was YOUNITE’s high-energy set. The eight-member group performed hits such as Bomba and Rock Steady and fan favourites One+Won, Poco Loco, Pump Your Sneakers, Geekin and Taste. YOUNITE also held an intimate fan meeting, forging lasting bonds with Indian fans.
Visitors explored five immersive “Seoul Street” zones. The Myeongdong district recreation featured neon signs and global beauty brands. Jongno Food Alley offered authentic Korean street snacks. Bukchon Hanok Village showcased traditional architecture. Hangang Park simulated a riverside urban oasis. Gangneung featured the iconic BTS bus stop.
Traditional culture shone in performances by the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team. S-Flava fused Korean music with b-boying, merging heritage with innovation. A Korean traditional dance troupe delivered elegant classical routines. NSU’s dance team bridged old and new through dynamic choreography.

Hwang Il Yong, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre India, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Delhiites, who enjoy and support Korean culture. Korean culture has now become a mainstream cultural phenomenon among India’s young generation, and the market for Korean products such as K-beauty and K-food is growing rapidly. Through this festival, we hope to further expand Korea-India cultural exchange and also deepen mutual understanding and friendship between our two countries.”
Rang De Korea’s rapid growth since 2022 reflects Hallyu’s rise from a niche trend to a mass movement. Delhi’s enthusiastic turnout proves cultural events can build bridges and foster friendship. Ambassador Lee summed up the festival’s impact: “We aim to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between our two countries through this festival”.
