Production Team & Filming Schedule
The screenplay is written by Ross Evans and Yumiko Aoyagi and is inspired by an original idea from Charli and Miike.
The story follows three best friends who meet in Kyoto to rekindle their lifelong friendship. However, their carefree girls’ trip soon spirals into a terrifying nightmare when Katie (played by Charli XCX) becomes possessed by a violent and tormented spirit rooted in Japanese horror tradition, portrayed by Kiko Mizuhara.
The film is being produced by Charli’s own company, Studio365, in collaboration with Good World Productions, Yumiko Aoyagi Productions, and OLM, Inc.. Alex Peace-Power serves as the executive producer, and the film is directed by Aidan Zamiri.
The movie is expected to be presented at the European Film Market in Berlin, where horror films continue to generate significant buzz and commercial interest.
Filming is scheduled to begin in Japan next month with the full cast. While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, anticipation is already building among fans and industry insiders.
