Chappell Roan has announced that she has left the Wasserman Agency, founded and led by Casey Wasserman, amid the outrage following the founder’s appearance in the Epstein Files.
On her Instagram, the Grammy-winning artist wrote:
“As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman. I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent, or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.”
Casey Wasserman in Epstein Files

Casey Wasserman, who founded and leads the talent agency, appeared in the Epstein Files, where he reportedly exchanged flirtatious emails with Ghislaine Maxwell in the early 2000s. The emails included messages in which Ms. Maxwell offered a massage to Mr. Wasserman that would “drive a man wild.” In another email, Wasserman wrote to her, “I think of you all the time. So, what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?”
Although Wasserman has not been accused of any wrongdoing by any of Epstein’s victims, he has faced tremendous backlash and outrage since these revelations. He has also been under pressure to remove himself from his talent agency and step down from the Olympic organizing committee.
After the emails became public, Casey Wasserman has issued a public apology:
“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane.”
Chappell Roan Sets Standards
In her story, Chappell did not mention anything related to the Epstein Files or Ms. Maxwell while announcing her departure. However, this action made a strong statement about her standards and moral principles.
