
Amazon Prime Video took to Instagram to reveal the first look of The Revolutionaries, a period-drama directed by Nikkhil Advani. And the very first look itself has made the fans go crazy. Produced by Monisha Advani, and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment, the casting has set them eagerly waiting for 2026.
Advani shifts focus from the mass struggle depicted in Freedom At Midnight to armed resistance in The Revolutionaries. This new series tells the story of brave revolutionaries who challenged the British Raj. Based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom, it explores the lives, and hardships of those often overlooked by mainstream history.
The show highlights freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, Aurobindo Ghosh, Vinayak Savarkar, and Bhikaji Cama. These individuals chose the path of armed rebellion, believing it was the only way to defeat colonial rule. Their efforts played a crucial role in India’s independence movement.
Set to stream on Amazon Prime Video in 2026, the series aims to bring their stories to the forefront. Moreover, it serves as a tribute to their courage, and conviction. Judging by the first look, the cast appears committed to doing justice to these iconic figures.
